About Khaya

Khaya Palada-Sabie is excited to share her passion for music through private lessons.

A native of upstate NY, Khaya grew up in Gilbertsville. She received her Bachelors in Music from the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam- 2016) and went on to Syracuse University for her Masters in Vocal Pedagogy (2018). 

She and her husband moved to the midwest where she taught Pre-K- 12 Grade music in Drayton, North Dakota. In 2021, they moved back to NY and Khaya taught Middleschool General Music and Choir in the Camden School District.

Following the birth of her son, Henry, Khaya switched her focus to private teaching.  

Khaya has taught privately since 2011 in various locations. She has taught out of her house, in community spaces, and through the YMCA of Greater Syracuse from 2016-2018. 

She teaches piano, voice, and general music exposure.

Khaya has experience in teaching private lessons to those on the Autism Spectrum, as well as students with ADHD and EBDs.
